Richard has ridden motorcycles all his life.
Initially trained to ride by the Metropolitan Police, Richard went on to own, ride, race and maintain an armada of Adventure and Race motorcycles. His passion took him to most circuits in UK and Europe and was only happy giving "A twist of the wrist"
In 2008, relatively late in life, he discovered "Enduro" and spent years raising money for the Touch Africa Childrens Charity riding with groups of all sizes across the Wild Coast of South Africa and Lesotho in partnership with Mike Glover of Red Cherry Adventures, the founder of Touch Africa.
This where he earned the title Captain Crash, the fastest man between crashes! Often seen flying through the air doing impressions of Superman.
The truth is after 15 years the old man can actually handle a bike if he wants. What he has is a lifetime of experience riding in a way to stay in one piece both on and off the road and will take your riding skills to a new level.
These activities bought friendships and support of 1,000's of riders from around the world that endure today.
In 2013 Richard migrated to Andalucia, Spain and spent the next 7 years closley connected with the Enduro Tour industry riding Husaberg and Beta machines.
In 2019 Pressure all over Europe seemed to be restricting the use of offroad motorcycles. Spain and Italy introduced legislation to restrict usage and hot parched summers made the riding unattractive.
Richard sold his home in Mijas, Spain and relocated to Paradise, otherwise known as the Silver Coast or Alcobaca, Portugal.
This land lays near Nazare (famous for the biggest waves on the planet).
It offers EVERY class of ENDLESS riding. Rocky climbs, rivers, mud, trails, single track, sand (even 100m high sand dunes). The weather is varied, there are real seasons. Rain and sun give a perfect variety of riding conditions 12 months a year.
Stop the GNR (Police) and ask where you can ride and the answer will be "Anywhere there is no gate" .The attitude in Portugal is different. Hunters will stop and wave you through. A local Enduro group, EnduroParaTodas, founded by one of our top guides, has over 6400 members. This really is a motorcycling paradise without limits.
Richard was a succesful businessman and initally worked with Graham Jarvis and owns and operates "Jarvis Signature Tours Portugal" but quickly developed the initiative named ExperienceHQV.
Today the company has a full collaberative agreement with Husqvarna Motorcycles and 3 ExperienceHQV partners offer unique styles of tour and adventure in different locations of Portugal. Giving you, the client, the ultimate choice but being assured of the best new ExperienceHQV motorcycles and always 5 star treatment.
Richard now concentrates of guiding and teaching smaller groups on Road, Adventure and Enduro tours. As he rarely stops laughing his tours are aimed at Enduro riders who really want to focus of fun, gastronomy and using the bikes to visit places not possible to see any other way.
Richard has a fleet of 11 Enduro bikes and 6 new 701 Super Enduro and offers simply the finest multiday adventure tours that mix riding the most scenic road and off-road routes all over Portugal and Spain.

Events and Tours are held from the New ExperienceHQV facilities at Husqvarna Land, Alcobaca. There you will find Parking, Changing Rooms, Bike Wash, Toilets, Showers, Cold Drinks, Coffee, Workshop services and you can ride directly out to 1000's of kilometres of every type of off-road experience.
In the spring Husqvarna Land will open its own test track for clients to warm up, practice skills and they or our team can make those vital adjustment to make your ride really 5 star.
